Impulse MMA congrats Matt Hughes on his victory at UFC 117. Our style here at Impulse MMA is very similar to that of Matt Hughes as we do not train to be on our backs the whole time. We have a great Jiu-Jitsu Game, but focus on wrestling and staying on top of our opponent. Matt Hughes demonstrated that a well rounded fighter has a better chance of victory of a single style opponent.

Seminar – July 24th
Attention Students:
We are having a seminar on Saturday, July 24th from 12pm-4pm at Jerry Jones Ultimate MMA in Nutley. This is a FREE Seminar for all students who are either competing at NAGA or just want to take their grappling game to the next level.
Since becoming a part of their school, they have helped us become a powerhouse for submission grappling in South Jersey. As you know, our Jiu-Jitsu game is above anyone in the area and has been proven time and time again at tournaments. If you are interested in attending this seminar, please sign-up at the school right away. We will only be able to take a limited amount of students due to mat size so don’t wait til the last minute or you might not be able to attend. If you have any questions, please see a staff member at the school!
Movie Night-Parent’s Night Out July 9th
We will be hosting a Parent’s Night Out – Movie Night on Friday July 9th 7:00pm-9:00pm. We will be showing “Ironman”! After the movie is over, we will be playing games with the kids until their rides are here! Also, we will be getting pizza and drinks for the movie. The cost is $15 per child. This event is open to anyone 5 years old and up…So Have Your Child Invite Their Friend!!!!!
Every student who brings a guest will receive a one ticket for each guest into our prize drawing. We will be giving away 3 different prizes so be sure to bring as many friends as you can! Any questions please see Mr. Cofer!
Parent’s Training Week
Parent’s Don’t Forget….
This entire week is “Parent’s Training”. We invite you onto the mats with your child to experience just what we do during class. This a great opportunity to learn some cool stuff as well as spend a little extra time with your child! Plus, I know some of you have been itching to get out there so here is your excuse for doing so! Don’t Be Shy! I’m not going to Tap You Out in front of everyone…Just come on out and have some fun!!!

Volleyball Tournament!
Impulse MMA will be closing at 5:30pm on Tuesday, June 8th to participate in the Volleyball Tournament Fundraiser for the Barnegat Education Foundation! The tournament starts at 6pm at the Barnegat High School. Everyone is invited to come out and support our Volleyball Team! Hope to see you all there!!
