First, my staff and I would like to thank you for considering our school for your training needs.  Our school is considered by many experts throughout the country to be one of the best martial arts schools for grappling and mixed martial arts.  Although our school is known to help make many of our students national and world champions in martial arts, it is our goal to make our students champions in life as well.  Our school’s positive and informative atmosphere helps produce integrity driven, confident, and disciplined individuals that have a desire to help others better themselves.  While training here you can expect the best martial arts training available that will benefit you for a lifetime.  Our passion is for life and the martial arts will inspire you to expand your vision and perhaps reach for and accomplish much more than you might have alone.

What is Grappling and Mixed Martial Arts?

The martial art that we teach is called “Jerry Jones Freestyle Jiu-Jitsu”, which is a grappling based, mixed martial art that teaches all of the ranges and distances of fighting and self-defense.  This program has produced several “National” and “World Champions”.  This means we learn how to defend ourselves on our feet and on the ground.  Our specialty is in Submission Wrestling.  Most other forms of martial arts like Karate and Tae Kwon Do, for example, teach only how to defend yourself if you are able to keep the fight on your feet.  This ignores the fact and statistics produced from the F.B.I. that over 85% of self-defense situations end up on the ground.

We believe that all students, parents, and children need to know at the very least a brief summary of the above mentioned.  The more informed our students and parents are about our school and program the more committed they will be to earning a Black Belt.  All of our students have to know the name of our school and what is different about our school than most other schools.  We make sure our students don’t just answer “karate” if asked by someone what they do after school or after work.
